1. the pan of water is at the bottom, you put the headlight on the cookie sheet.. the water vapor will help loosen the silicon
2. use silicon chalking they use to seal up windows if you need to.. i always scrape all the old **** away and put new stuff on
3. using the hair dyer puts too much heat in one spot, you risk warping the light.. i suggest the oven method always.. using muscle to open it you might crack it
4. patience.. don't force it.. if you don't feel up to it, just use a lower temp. (like 275) and slowly work it open.. don't force it!!!!
5. once it's open, you should be able to ply out the yellow piece and then just heat them up and reseal them

I heard it went like this. . .
Take light off. Stuff with proper stuffing (rice chicken ect.) then pre heat oven at 375 for 5 mins, then cook until lightly brown around the edges, turn, repeat. you should be able to smell the plastic by now, almost done. then you remove, sprinkle with some lemon juice and garlic salt and viola! Stuffed headlight. A delicacy

^^I think he was joking... nonetheless quite unnecessary in a how-to post.
I have one other Q, as far as the "amber" cover for the turn signal, how do you make it clear? Just remove the little cover on it? Wouldn't that make it too bright?
