wiring interior neons
So I've got a couple of red neons for interior floor lighting...problem is that they require the cig lighter for power. However it's in use by my ipod transmitter.
Just wondering if anyone know how to wire the neons up to the battery with (or without) a fuse?
Thanks

I also have the ability to use a capacitor under my passenger seat...
How would I determine what wires would be appropriate for this tap? And how would I go abut doing so?

easiest is to find the wire going to the cig. lighter cut it and splice into it. if not you'd need to trace out another power wire for anything and make sure its only 12V. Only connect the positive because the neg. can just get grounded onto the car (a little connector on the end from radioshack and screw it onto the body somewhere)

I spliced my under seat leds into the overhead lamp dimmer wiring in the a-pillar. My under seat lights come on whenever the door is open or I hit the key fob, but they won't come on with just the dome light switched to on. I just wanted supplemental lighting because it was so hard to see in the car at night when putting stuff in and out, especially on the floor.
