have you guys checked out mitsubishiparts.net?
I ordered my tranny fluid from there. It's $83 for a gallon and it's made for the 6sp tranny, but there's members on here with 5sp tranny that are running it and they said that it's even better then the pennzoil, redline or the BG syncroshift.
It's pretty expensive, but the Evo is my one and only method of transportation so I don't want to go cheap on it. There's quite a few that recommend it as well.

Well what I heard is that tranny builder, and tuners are starting to recommend the OEM tranny fluid, so might as well.

thanks for the input man, I know for sure I won't buy an 88 MR2 now
83$ every 30k isn't too bad, that's our recommended interval on the RA. I tend to stick around that, what are the builders recommending? that's the main reason I went to an aftermarket fluid, longevity (synthetic vs conventional).

Royal Purple Synchromax FTW. Made my car shift WAY better. (2.3 quarts btw)
It was $32 for the fluid, and I did the change myself. Very easy to do! I won't use anything else from now on. I believe the Penzoil we are supposed to use is Pennzoil Synchromesh... I heard a saying on these boards, that if it has synchro in the name and is GL-4... you're good. But I know Royal Purple Synchromax works great so I'll recommend that over all others.

yeah, i cant wait to get it in this week, just to see the difference...u ever have any uneccessary grinding at high rpms dan? and not to get off topic, but i bought the mobil 1 synthetic extended performance and i dont get it, like how can u make an oil, even synthetic, that will last 15,000 miles but theres no filter out there that would ever hold up to that...anyways id never go beyond 3,000 without an oil change, i luv the ralliart too much...thats why i got her a nice lil k&n oil filter
