Grill mesh and lower mesh both done

Thought you may want to see what it looks like. Cars a bit dirty, but you get the idea.

I did the same to my lower grille area, but like i didn't really care to do the top ones. I did buy extra grilles for the top two next to the mitsu symbols to try out the grille material on it.. so who knows how it'll work..

care to share what you had to do to get the mesh to stay in and look nice? any probs? how did you get the mesh mounted? I am going to do mine this weekend, if my calipers and springs dont take too long.

I took a large piece of paper and traced the shape of the inlet at the point it tuns into black plastic. Next I cut the mesh on a band saw to slightly larger than the trace. I then worked it carefully into place being careful not to scratch the paint (this took the longest). When in place I use long black zip ties around the plastic pieces inside to keep it in place. If done right the tention of the fact that he mesh is larger than the hole keeps it in place. Other than that you can cut it exactly to size and use glued on holders to keep it in place.

I was thinking about using something small around the edge in front of and behind the mesh to keep it in place. Like weather stripping or something. Maybe it would look to help hold just behind. Did you cut out those plastic vertical pieces?
