Fiberglass Sub Box building

Hey all, I'm currently running a 3/4" MDF dual 10" subwoofer box (SubZero pre-fab box). It's very well sealed and sounds great, but.. it's heavy as ****. I've thought about switching to a fiberglass box to save weight, but they're way too expensive to purchase already made. How difficult is it to build a fiberglass box? I'm not looking for any custom shapes or such, just a basic box with proper airspace (.66 - .75 cubic feet per sub) and seperate chambers for each sub.

I'd really like to learn how to glass, so maybe I should just dive in and try once winter's over and it's not cold anymore.

It is actually very easy. I started to do some fiberglass work this past summer myself. I started with a simple insert for the compartment under the stereo in the RalliArt to place switches on. It turned out awesome. I then redid a friends bumper on his GMC Sonoma. Looks very awesome. I am currently making two fiberglass sub inclosures for my RalliArt trunk. Not hard at all. However, it takes time, patients and the best respirator in the world. If you would like further information I would be glad to help. Let me know!

There is nothing better than the satisfaction of completing a customize job yourself.

I'll definitely keep you in mind when the time comes I found a really good how-to for glassing, so my last question is what supplies do I need, and where do I get them?

I got my supplies at a large auto store; however, you can get the same stuff at a boot shop as well.

Supplies
Fiberglass mat
FiberGlass Resin/Hardener
Disposable Gloves
Disposable Dollar Store Paint Brushes
Painters Tape to protect the car trunk and create a type of mold backing.
Dremmel Power Tool
*** High Quality Respirator*** (Very Important)

That should be about it!
