i have a sugestion, i removed my 3erd brake light assembly from my Ralliart wing and installed it inside on the roof at the top of the glass and it works fine.

I was wondering if this is indeed the correct part number for the back window brake light because I have called Mitsubishi to order a brake light and they told me part # MR522039 is the part I need. He took the part # from the base lancer's light. I also asked him about the part number you quoted (MN126920HB) and he said that part # is the light that goes on the stock wing, not the back seat... Can anyone confirm these 2 part numbers and whats the difference? Because its almost $100 difference.

 

I used MN126920HB and its exactly what i wanted. Cost me 50 bucks shipped via www.mitsubishiparts.net

Not an EVO spoiler but pretty close to get a good idea. Also are 3rd brake lights mandatory?

So can you confirm that MN126920HB is the light that goes on the backseat? The dealer wants $90 CAD for that part and $220 CAD for the other one i mentioned earlier. On mitsubishiparts.net both descriptions of the part is "Lamp Assy+high Mo". I wish they had a pic on the website. I'm gonna call a couple mitsubishi dealers tommorow to make sure too..

just take the bar out of the spoiler and put it in the back window,thats the cheapest,unsrcew the bar take the wire out flip down the seat and put it there,your done,or go buy the light i hate the bar!

if you are taking off your STOCK ra spoiler and replacin it with an evo wing then you should buy an evo 8 as a third brake light... that's what I did.

I have my evo 8 wing on my car, which was replaced with my stock ra wing for the evo wing and just bought an evo 8 brake light as my third brake light and put it in my back window as it's the law here in pa to have a third brake light.

 

^^^^^^^ +1 that's what I had to do as well, otherwise the dealership woulden't install my Evo VIII wing. Its a law to have a "permanant mount" 3rd brake light here. Loose on the deck would not have been acceptable.
