WOW!! That's a huge difference. I know that in my auto I average right around 30 in the summer and 28 in the winter. I'm very happy with those numbers. I'm not sure why yours would be so low. I do know that everyone's MPG on here ranges from 19 - 32 so I'm not that surprised.

My MPG is low to mid 20's. The type of driving or the heaviness of my foot seems to make a big difference. If a cruise at a speed where the RPMs are low it seems to help but it's not that fun.

For the US, they only imported them for the '04 MY. Only in automatic. I believe something like 4-5K of them, maybe less.

Sweet wagon!

I'd love a nice wagon, especially in the snow.

So it's been a little over a month since I got the red RA sportback. I noticed that a lot of people stare at my car. I'm sure about 70% of them are staring because they're like, "What is that ugly red thing?" but 30% are admiring the rarity/good looks/power But I'm very happy with the switch. I hope to have some updated pics this weekend (with new bug deflector, front OEM mud guards, black emblem overlays, and new shoes).

I'm working on taking baby steps to improve gas mileage. I was getting 27 or so on my 5spd RA. Have been getting 21 in this. And added some Chevron Techron which improved things to about 23. Hoping a K&N drop-in will add another 1mpg or so. I have considered the UD pulley, but want to try my best and avoid any warranty-voiding-or-jeopardizing-activity.

that is all.

iVE looked into ways of improving my fuel ecnomy in my wagon also ... The front headers are apparently VERY restrictive, but that will definitly void warranty, should u need to claim something in the future, which is why ive been hesitant in getting some. K&n filter will help a bit, but i think the whole stock airbox sux when it comes to airflow .... really need a CAI to get air moving freely.

The only way of improving the gas mileage is to go easy on it. When I would whip around, averaging 85 mph on the highway, I got about 20 mpg. I reset the computer and drove very conservatively, never hitting 72 mph on the highway, and the mpg jumped to 26 mpg.

If you have Shell, try their gas. I've experienced a significant jump in mpg using Shell.

I don't have the dollars per se. But he gave me an even trade. 2005 manual RA base model with 9000 miles for a 2004 automatic sportback RA with 23,000 miles. Best thing is that I owed nothing on taxes.
