My Red Rice Wagon!! First Pics!

Traded in my 05 GG RA for an 04 PR RA Wagon.

I kept my rims, and the mesh grill, and switched out the bulbs to MTECs.

I still have my eyelids, but not sure if I'm gonna repaint and put them on or just sell them. It was a royal PITA getting the doublesided tape off my old RA before trading it in. Comments?

Cool. You planning on modding it anymore?

I have only seen 1 in my whole life.

They should have put a 5SPD in them I would have bought it for sure. Getting my hockey sticks into the sedan is a PITA.

Thanks for the comments folks. I don't think I'm gonna do much in terms of mods. I want to keep the warranty intact (the practical side of me). I love the color, as weird as it first was. I noticed that without eyelids, my night time vision or range is a lot better. Didn't know the eyelids covered so much light... I think I may go for the projector/halos at some point - undecided. I like these rims and have always been a fan of mesh style rims. Been thinking about some 16inch black five-spokes at some point though.

Keep those rims but paint them. Leave the eyelids off, and put that thing on coilovers Finally, contact EvoDave about having him black out that 2' tall reverse light.

There was a glimmer of hope that this would happen when they decided to bring it back to Canada (it sold very well here, in contrary to the sales it got in the US)... but sadly, the idiots didn't get the message the first time and still only offered an AT version. My wife keeps telling me how much it would have been cool to get one of those... but she can't stand driving auto either, so it wasn't a difficult choice for us when we saw there were only AT models.

To this day, I still can't understand the poor logic behind this decision... they gave ridiculous arguments like that it wouldn't sell and all that crap... can you imagine how many more they'd have sold here if it had been available with a real gearbox?!? I think sales in the US would have been much better too.

Yeah, the back lights were the only real problem with the look of that car... then again, if they had sold more of them, someone would probably have come out with aftermarket replacements. Another solution I thought of is having them painted halfway up... or at least have color-matching vinyl applied over the top part.

@ddcha: I don't feel those wheels with that car either... it clashes with the lines of the car. Then again, your car - your show to run... as long as you're satisfied, who cares?

Just covering the tails with some smoked vinyl would be loads of improvement. I'm also another one of those "if it had a MT I'd rock it" people.

Yeah, they should put us in charge of new products for North-America...

I hope that one day they offer the EVO Wagon over here too... kick a$s car man! Same performance as your run-of-the-mill EVO... but with room for a small sofa at the back. Can you imagine winning a head-to-head 1/4mile race with an STI with a sofa in the back?!?

Rims don't really look "off" like everybody says.. They would look much better with some tint on the windows though.. It would pull together the whole sport look.

Maybe a red overlay on that reverse like section? Might make it look a bit better

I've always liked the Sport Backs, and like everyone else says except for the AT. Car looks good! I like the rims, prob better powdercoated black would be the hotness.

Slam it. Exhaust it. SRI/CAI it. Tint it. And be done with it!
