I know how you feel.. i had to actually buy a laptop this year for school and now i'm out of purchasing anything for my car for the rest of the summer. Why are laptops so damned $$.. haha
Car looks good, i color matched my rims to my car with the polished lip as well and it looks great. Black tails would definitely keep the sleeper look, and it'll help make the red caliper accent look. Also you should pick up a stubby antenna, that thing looks like my RC car haha.

first time seeing this, very nice , all you need are some depo tails and your car will look really good. i used to have those wheels on my focus, good choice. they look much better on an RA.

The rims are BSA 363 17x7 +40mm offset and the tires are Nexen N3000 215/40/17, when ever i hit a big bump my rear tires rub on the fenders a little bit, but other then that there great. Got them through the mitsu dealership they mounted them installed them got me new nuts and lock nuts and evertying.
You must park it in a garage then if you haven't waxed it in a year. That's amazing.

I jacked up my car, took off my wheels, degreased my calipers, scuffed them up with a scuff pad, masked the **** out of everything so i wouldnt get overspray anywere, and then painted them with some high temperature braked caliper paint (about 4 coats).

try polish sealer instead of wax and use 3m swirl remover with a low cut pad and that will work wonders
