Can we get some more people to post up pics of calipers done red?
And a quick question about the Duplicolor kit. Does if have a gloss finish? Or should I buy a high heat sealer gloss as well?

Question for all you guys who have painted calipers - I was told by a body shop that having painted calipers are not good, because the calipers heat up and can crack... is there any truth to this, and has anyone had any problems at all with their brakes afterwards?
BTW, everyone's calipers look great!!! I want to do this right, which is why I'm doing some research first... TIA

Not true in the slightest! I think they may have meant that the heat caused by the caliper will make the PAINT chip/crack. Not the paint will cause the caliper to crack under heat. Its not like the paint seals the heat in so it can't escape.
As long as you get a paint that is designated for either highheat caliper or Engine paint then your fine.

Although it DOES give me a laugh quite a bit. I love beating ricers with my stock, automatic, ralliart. It is such a great feeling, watching them move farther and farther behind me.
You need to chill. And if the stock exhaust is good, then why can more power be made by switching out with aftermarket stuff? If its the noise your talking about, there are things you can do to cut down on it. Dont call it "rice" if you wanna make your car faster.

well my 2 cents.. i have a black oz.. and painted mine yellow, yellow looks so good with my car only problem is when it gets dirty after a month of two.. that's it... hard to clean. Duplicolor is a great choice... just make sure you clean the surface really good and take your time, light multiple coats and patience is the key. My friend used the red and its beautiful... on nice, thick and rich color.
