GT25 vs GT28 vs GT35 Turbos

Hello, I am currently getting my Ralliart turbo charged. At first the turbo was supposed to be a GT28, but they said that there were too many problems with the Ralliart computer, so they are downgrading to a GT25 instead. I was wondering, if I run the same boost, will my GT25 produce equal power to the GT28? I will be running only 5 or 6 psi, so will I be losing out on power since my turbo is smaller? Also, Later on when I have more money, how hard is it to upgrade my turbo to a big GT35? Will I have lots of problems? Because on the forms, I ran accross a Ralliart pulling over 400HP, and he is using a GT35, running at 20 psi on 91 octane.

I would, but I don't think that they will be able to help much since I will be using a different setup from them, and I am using a different Turbo too. I think RRMs stage 1 kit is using a 16G, and last time I asked, I think their stage 2 uses a T28 turbo, not the GT28, unless I am worng.

Yeah, i think he's talking about turbotech PR, who turbocharges anything with a motor. He's got a 500+hp ralliart in Puerto Rico.

Sorry, when I said "ran accross" I was talking about over the forums. Not from Canada. Sorry about the mix up. As for the turbo, They told me that the GT28r was blowing too much air for the engine to handle, so that was acreating problems. I talked to my friend, and he's using a GT28r, his was the first Turbo Charged Ralliart done by Essential Speed. He said that his system is stable now, but Essential Speed told me they would not give me a GT28r.

Yes its true, we don't like giving away our secrets, but we do like helping. As for your turbo issue, and turbo should work as long as it fits really, and you know how to make it work.

If you want to see if the GT28r matches the RA 2.4L engine, compare the CFM requirments. Find the compressor map of the GT28r and do engine flow requirments for the 2.4L. This website has a javascript calculator......
http://www.stealth316.com/2-air-fuel-flow.htm

I believe your redline is ~6200rpm...use 95% for VE and density ration is a ratio of boost w/ respect to 14.7 so if you are running 14.7 lbs of boost then density ration woul be ~2.

You would want efficiency level of the turbo at ~75% near or at the torque peak of your engine. Not knowing the spec of the GT series of hand, i couldnt tell you exactly what you need....but if the GT25 is anything like the T25 from 2ndgen DSM, you will need to buy an asthma inhaler for the turbo cause its gonna be out of breath up top

How did you get Crower and Ross to work with you... i sent them each 3 emails and the only company i've contacted about internals and got a response was Pauter.
