yes, the same line (intake manifold pressure) that feeds your BOV can be used to feed your boost gauge...

boost is logged through UVtune Fastworks via ECU and MAP sensor, purely electronic...wideband AFR is logged from the gauge via the white analog output, through pin #8 on the OBD-II port.

Pin #8? I believe you mean #11......ooops, I stand corrected... I just looked at my photo and it is indeed number #8 sorry...

Using some deductive reasoning and after reading this article, the answer to my "logging boost" question became clearer: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAP_sensor (see "Common confusion with boost sensors and gauges"). Your answer Garrett also confirmed it.

Oh, I want to keep you guys abreast on everything...

Ceramic coating called this morning and said they were shooting my downpipe today and are going to ship it back to me tomorrow. As soon as I get that back I'm off to the muffler shop to get the last piece fabricated.

Got USAA to cover towing one more time today, after recruiting my two, twelve year old nephews to help me push my vehicle out from in the weeds, and from being tucked in behind another vehicle, so that the tow truck could access it when it arrived.

While following the flat bed with my red wagon atop it, the tow truck hit a gnarly hole in the road. It was then that I witnessed my 3042 lb. vehicle become airborne and it's tail end jump about two feet to the left! It came to rest diagonally, and a foot from the outside rail, yet still secured with it's tow straps...unbelievable.

So, it's at it's next stop, covered, and in the back lot of the muffler shop. The coated downpipe is supposed to arrive tomorrow (7/17/2013 - Wednesday - 8:34 pm Departed FedEx location HAGERSTOWN, MD. Estimated delivery : Thur 7/18/2013), and when it does, I'll have it put up on a rack, hang the downpipe, and have the cat pipe fabbed in.

Not a pretty day, but the shop was open nonetheless:

The rest will finish tomorrow morning.

I've got another issue...

...the oil return line that was created is not acceptable, for the return flange is clocked at about 5 o'clock, towards the front of the car, and an aluminum elbow comes off of that, and then the braided line which travels uphill to the oilpan. When the middle section is clocked so that the return flange is pointed straight down, or 6 o'clock, and the aluminum elbow is removedthe braided line has to make a pretty tight radius in order to make a downhill run to the oil pan. If it is clocked to about 7 o'clock, towards the rear of the car, the return flange is very close, maybe 3 or 4 inches, to the oil pan bung. I am yet to see if I can create a braided line that short with a fitting on each end.

Any suggestions?

Man, that oil return looks like its going to be a *****. I'm sorry, no suggestions on my end. Maybe try braided heater hose for more flexibility. The same material that is used for the OEM oil cooler lines.

cut and re-weld the flange OR make an adapter are the options I can think of.

i would see if your idea of clocking to 6-7 o'clock toward the block and getting that hose on there...

Panorama shot @ midnight tonight (double exposed on the right side)

I'm missing the retaining clip that secures the actuator arm to the WG lever, so I had no choice but to "close shop." Securing the downpipe and actuator, top off all fluids, then writing the turbo file to ECU tomorrow should conclude everything.

After disassembling the return line, and considering multiple options, I got an idea. I kept the flanges clocked at 11'oclock and 5 o'clock, secured the return line, then, with a rubber mallet, gave the blue elbow a gentle whap creating a more acute angle. This required me to clock the flange a bit less (higher), thus raising the elbow a smidgen more, creating a greater downhill run. The rest of the line parallels to the oil pan. After primimg the turbo with about 10cc of oil (5cc syringe) and applying thread tape to the fittings, I noted that oil had made its 0way to the end of the line at the oil pan, confirming proper return.
