Supercharger

Does anyone know if any companies are in the process of making a supercharger for the Ralliart. If there is i know that i am interested in one since there are less parts, easier to install, less expensive, and no turbo lag. Am I the only who feels that a supercharger is worth it. I am new to modding imports so im not sure if the ralliart engine can even support a supercharger system and make decent HP numbers with one. Anyone care to fill me in. Also would it be possible or cost effecient to make a custom supercharger setup. I hope i dont sound like too much of a newb right now. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I think it will be a while till a supercharger comes out. There isn't even a turbo out yet.

First off, anyone can turbo their car at any REAL performance shop. There just isnt a "bolt-on" set-up yet. Supercharger will make good power on the car, its still in relation to boost applications jsut as a turbo is, but you tend to see a little less peak HP in the Supercharger vs. the turbo setup. BUT to say a supercharger is less $$$ is WAY off base!! Less parts...maybe. Easier to install...maybe, but they easily as much money as a turbo kit. Bolt-on kits tend to get a little more pricey, especially if you are buying a brand name like Greddy. But soon I am sure there will be plenty to choose fom, the car is still very new. Just give it a little time.

I agree mitsumichael, the supercharger setup would definetely be more expensive than a trubo setup. If you're interestd in a supercharger, keep an eye on ripp mods...they make sure nice supercharger kits, they already have one for the Lancer. Probably just a matter of time before they come out with one for the ralliart. BTW, I'm waiting on a supercharger setup myself.

supercharger kit would be nice for the RA...but look how long it took RIPP MODS to comout with the SDS for the lancer!...you engine will take it....i remember someone said that its actually ready for turbo....and had some pretty nice internals...but time will tell....RRM s already workin on their turbo...then you guys will get the same debate that we went through over and over again

Everyone ALWAYS sets up the debate of turbo vs. supercharger...ultimately its just a matter of preferrence and peak goals. Supercharger and turbo are both great for daily driving, but the turbo should provide more peak gains with the proper setup.

Im a supercharger fan. Im in Australia and there is company close by that superchargers the 4g93 to bring out 14.4 sec at 7.5psi on the quarter with no other mods. And the price is good to. They are also looking at doing a 15psi kit

Yeah sure, the website is pretty good, gives all the stats and what is included in the kit. Just remember the prices are Australian Dollars. The stats on the site are of a lancer with just the supercharger. No other mods what so ever, not even an exhaust system. There are also some short videos of it in action on the 1/4 mile against some australian V8's.

Yeah thats good stock, but there is a fair bit of difference between your RA and my lancer. But with one of these superchargers and some other mods i have 13sec potential and i would be pretty happy with that.

Turbo for the RA? RRM is in the process of making one now. And apparently they are pretty close to completion if not already.
