well, I'm not 100% sure on how powdercoating works.
But You can get it chromed, and it should either contain the heat and not let heat on the outside effect it... as with containing the heat would be niced for turbo/sri guys.
But looks is more of a major factor for it. because in all honesty you may gain about 1-2 hp at the most.

but honestly for the headache it would cause the gains really aren't big enough... just spend the money and get yours powdercoated.

I been sitting here reading though all these posts. It seems to me that non of you realize are stock header is 4-2 header. Any after market header u get will need to be 4-2 to line up with your down pipe. Are stock header is badass if u want to improve on it get the stock header cermic coated. Go with the road race down pipe. If you think its to load or if you are a tree hugger. Have a high flow cat welded in behind it.

no we all knew that the stock header is a 4-2-1, But N/A guys will spend some money sometimes trying to get a few more horsies... ErikT was right though, wouldn't it be more efficient to support a different design?
My best guess it Kamikaze used a 4-1 design and this adapter kit goes 1-2-1. Meaning 4-1 header to a 1 pipe adaper that becomes 2 then the Dp that goes back to one.

You guys are all wrong, they never had a header for the ralliart NOR worried about making all the different changes to support a certain downpipe stock OR not. Most properly made headers come with the pi;e that either goes to the CAT or to the catback and sell that as a testpipe. They know when they make a header the largest gains will come when delete the cat anyways, hence the reason why Road Race did it in their downpipe and is telling guys the stock header is sufficent. I never heard them say to get it coated although I am sure that would help marginally...nothing you could feel anyways.

Somebody could just call Kamikaze and get some clarification. They've told us once that they make a header for the Ralliart which needs an extra piece welded on to fit. If they made a 4:1 header, then it most likely doesn't not match up with the stock downpipe. They may have made the final tube of the header long enough to reach the flex pipe or something, where it can then be welded in. Or they could've been mistaken and though we had a 2.0 engine.

From Kamikaze's website, www.kamikazeperformance.com
The Ralliart application is not listed on the site. Last time someone had them on the phone, they said they didn't list it because of that piece that you had to add to make it long enough, so it wasn't 100% perfect fitament.

i dont see why everyone wants a 4-1 NA header, honestly. If you are not slapping a turbo in, the 4-2 will give a more even flow, which is what NA wants. There will be just enough restriction to have lots of torque. The stock header is fine. If someone wants to make a turbo header, thats a different story

Luis had his ralliart header ceramic coated by jet-hot. He stopped by while I was at the dyno yesterday and they turned out REALLY nice. I wana do it =) He has an extra header if anyone wants to get theres done. I have other priorities for the time being, or I would grab it. Save you from having the car MIA for the week or 2 its being coated.
as for results, you should get a little smoother flow so a slight gain but probably not too noticable on short trips or dynos. However, on long trips, the heat in the engine bay should really drop and it thus will probably help extend the life of the car and keep it running strong during long trips.
