check my dyno's. I dont have RRM's axleback, but i have a full catback. its not 30whp. 20-25 max. The CAI is well worth it. The ECU does a good job, but if you are into taking things into your own hands, you can get an emanage to do the A/F tuning just as well (and do mch more) for about the same price. I dunno what the axle back will do. My catback extended both my power and torque bands, but didnt help peak. then again, peak is way over rated.
if you want easy power, its the way to go. if you are on a budget and can tune the electronics an alternate way, then you can save some $.

not really. injen CAI, AEM CAI, etc. but I like RRM. the price is the same and the company stands behind what they do.
For EMS, $400 can get you an emanage or SAFC or 100 other tools that might be a bit less application-specific and require tuning in order to get good results (which needs a $300 wideband o2 sensor and maybe some dyno time). if you are willing to go the extra mile, you can get better overall results, but at a non-dollar price.
maybe its better to say that its the only option out there that will work for everyone =)

^^^ I hear you on that.
I want agressive cams... something similar to what celica GT-s and RSX-s have on there car. When LIFT or vTEC kick in, the HP shoots 30-40whp on the dyno, ive seen it, and it's all because there high cam (the agressive one) kicks in @ 6ooo and 62oo RPM's. Our cams are not that agressive due to mitsu fitting it with an all around car for everyone. Not everybody is gonna want/like that "kick" when MIVEC gets in. Also, GT-s and type-S are consider sports car, so of course there gonna be fitted w/ sports car like function. I really want MIVEC to perform like lift or vTEC.
What sucks is, yesterday @ MoDo5 I was talking to one of the guys behind the new 4g eclipse and we had a intresting conversation on MIVEC. What stood out the most is, he said on the v6 version, MIVEC is similar to LIFT/vTEC on the toyotas and hondas, that when it approaches the MIVEC profile, there is an instant BOOST in HP, almost like a light switch and it's felt to redline, and the car pulls hard and would surprise alot of cars in the 30k range. I would like to get my hands on the 4g eclipse cams... just to see what's up.

the 4g eclipse probably reaches peak HP @ 5700rpms (263hp), MIVEC agressive HIGH cam profile is @ 3600rpms. So from 50rpms - 3500rpms, the power is building. So @ 3500rpms, the 4g eclipse is at 200hp, when MIVEC profile switchs on @ 3600, the power is dramaticly increased by 40-50hp, and @ 5000rpms, MIVEC has increased the power instantly (a la vTEC and LIFT)... than it builds up about 10-15hp till 5700rpms, where anything after than just falls off the powerband.

I guess they are just waiting for the first RA owner to bring a cam to start regrinding experiments.... The dude that does this is he guy that tunes the technology for the RA in P.R. thats running in the 9's. Hes usually pretty good. Its just that lately hes been more focused on his little Hyundai Accent(yes Accent) that is ALSO running 9's on its 1.5 engine
