But I believe due to where the O2 is held in the cat, you'd need an O2 sensor nut... and I called a dealership & they said you'd have to buy the whole O2 sensor... I'm pretty sure that was over $200.00

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that's it... Sound right BlkRalliArt!?

what you are talking about is a O2 bung. They should not be more than $10 since I just had to buy one cause VRS fked up my system. I got mine at Car Quest for around $8. Then all you would need to do once you get it is drill a 3/4" hole in the pipe and weld it in.

That makes A LOT more sense than what I was talking about... But it was explained differently to me when I was asking about it before...

is there a difference between buying the bolt on magnaflow axelback from RRM and just buying the magnaflow muffler and having it welded on. I would assume the pipe on the axel back is basicallly a stock size replacement but im not sure.

I can either spend $300 for the axel back from RRM, or spend like $140 with shipping for the muffler on ebay and then spend30-40 to have it welded on. quite a bit cheaper that way.

I wouldn't think so... Especially since the exhaust is a direct bolt on to the stock set up & you're not going up in size... ALOT of people have just gotten the muffler & welded it on... Just as good I would think!!!

One thing to think about is that if you get the bolt on RRM set up you can easily take it off and put the stock back on for warranty service... if you use stainless hardware... just a suggestion...

My magnaflow muffler is clamped on with a u bolt. A friend did the install and he couldn't weld the stainless to the old pipe. I have gone to a couple of muffler shops to have it welded, but they all said they couldn't weld it either. Why is this and why is it better to have it welded? Some of you apparently have yours welded, so what's up?

that twin loop is fugly but thats just my opinion, the twin loop desing is what a "normal" muffler usaully does, just your seeing it on the outside, so yes it's more quite than the straight thru style....

i have no clue what muffler the previous owner put on my RA but i'm not liking it too much lil loud for my taste and two people have burned themselves on the tip...

i'm gonna get the magnaflow 14829 and just fyi sumittracing.com has em for $111 w/ free shipping or you can get em here too...
