the PCV valve is screwed into the back of the valve cover and has a hose that goes straight across to the intake manifold, if you tee that hose you will get manifold pressure...

woot woot!
i will try locating this hose tomorrow when there's light out.

woohoo!

i will also be visiting CanTire and Princess Auto tomorrow.
they're selling vacuum gauges (different brands) for the same price.
here are the 2 items that i'm referring to:

1) Canadian Tire
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en
2) Princess Auto
http://www.princessauto.com/pal/product/8238438/

which one do you think i should get?
i'm leaning towards Princess Auto just because of their AMAZING return/refund policy.
i will probably concoct my very first HOW-TO through this installation
but i'm going to need a lot of help since this is the first time i'm touching any hoses.
i will especially need help with the wiring.
i've been doing some research and in my opinion, the cleanest and safest way to do this is by tapping one of the empty slots in my under-the-dash fuse box.
i think that's better than splicing wires.
but again, that's just ME lol.
what do you guys think?
i will update when i grab the vacuum gauge tomorrow.
i'm excited!

thanks for all the help!

LOL!
i just searched "glowshift gauges" on google and i found this on their site:
http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Tinted-vacuum-gauge.aspx
it looks nice and it's cheap!
i'm going CRANS STYLE (GlowShift) on my gauges lol.
it looks nice and as long as it works, i'm happy.
i'll see how much the total will be for the gauge+shipping.
if it's more than the CanTire/PrincessAuto ones, then i'll just go local.
when i grab them, can you help me with the install?
i haven't done ANY wiring on my RA so i don't wanna mess it up
THANKS IN ADVANCE BRO!
btw my stereo head unit is still busted
no music for me as for now
take care man!

EDIT: DAMN! free shipping if >$25 woot woot! what a steal but am i willing to wait...hmmm...decisions decisions...

my glowshift boost gauge has been working fine for over a year now, for the price, i'm happy with it, i've had some problems with my oil pressure, but each time it ends up being a failed sending unit, not the gauge...and glowshift has already replaced my sending unit for free.

i can help with the install, in fact i might even have a "T" fitting that will work.

we'll look at the stereo next time you're down, i have to buy a new multimeter, and i'm super busy with the house right now, the wife is a slave driver...i haven't even had time to work on the car, my new starter, fan controller, engine mount, and purge solenoid are sitting on top of the fridge, and have been there for the past two weeks. Guess i'll get back to work on the deck.

Same situation here. Everytime I try to ATTEMPT to POP THE HOOD, she calls me right at the nick of time and says, "Are you working on your car again? We're supposed to study together!" (aka SHE has to study but I need to be there for some reason ) LOL! It's alright though! We're all willing to make the sacrifice!

But yeah, for sure! I'll let you know when I'm free and maybe I can drop by and help you out with some house work It's the least I can do for all the help you've given me

Thanks again man!
