No it isn't. Flaming would be - "that's stupid, buy an Evo." I don't think its a bad idea to put a 4G63T in a FWD lancer, I think its silly to start a thread like this without searching though. I do think wanting to do an engine swap, and do a AWD conversion on a regular lancer is pointless though - especially an RA.

Theres already a Mirage with an Evo engine here in PR...sorry, theyre in the process of building an Evo swap too...the only catch istaht theyre attempting to do it hybridly. Allow me to explain, Evo head with the turbo manifold ecu, wirng.all the hardware, but, The block is from a RA, its being reinforced(pistons, rods).
Lets see if it can be done....I dont know much about the project myself...and it IS a money burner.its just that sme ppl love their cars, and wanna do evrything they can to make them fast

back to the topic sorry matt jagg..... there are ALOT of aftermarket parts for the ra .....there is RRM's infamous turbo kit... R.I.P. makes a super soaker..lol... oops, i forgot a P, its ripp as in ripp off ......(sorry i'm just a hater)....they make a supercharger that is lacking ....umm if you want to go N/A you could get everything from cai, intake manny, pistons, entire exhaust system, i could go on forever or you could just go to roadracemotorsports.com there's lancershop.com ummm i'm sure that there are more just do a little searching ...and by the way all that was stated is my OPINION ...........

if you want turbo just bolt one onto the car if you want traction add LSD and tires
but to do a converssion it is not a cheap excerse we have a car over here that has had in excess of $50k added to it in the evo swap including drive train they had to graft a evo floor pan in just so the drive would fit and work this car now makes about 400hp atw but is plagued with problems
