Best perfoming short ram intake??
Can someone please help me make my final decision. I want to get a short ram intake for my 2004 Ralliart. Money NOT being a factor which has the most peformance gains. No Guessing or opinions please, actual numbers or factual data is what I'm looking for if anyone has it. In case your wondering eveything else is stock for now, except for tires (stock goodyear's suck). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm narrowed down to injen, RRM or AEM. Thanks!!!

It would have to be RRM.
RRM: "OUR INTAKEs OUT DYNOED , INJEN and AEM!"
So there's your answer.
Just PM ROCK for data if you don't believe the largest, respectable aftermarket part company for our RA's.
Cheers!

That's the problem RRM claims theirs is the best via Dyno (but is that for Short Ram version or cold air intake or both). AEM claims there's will out perform any other brand. So it's hard to decide, who do you believe. I found the AEM for $188.00 shipped, not a bad price plus they have the new dry filter system which sounds like less hassle/less mess. But is it really worth another 40-45 dollars? RRM is still cheapier. Looks have to go to AEM though. Anybody have any thoughts on the heat soak factor...any one better than the other in that aspect (dry filter VS oiled)??? Thanks Again...

man, if your going to buy RRM's, you better SAW of the stock tube from the airbox, and go to a bar and have some beers for you and your friends with the $150++ , because its the same diameter a little longer with dont have any difference in performance, so if you want to spend 150+ in a thing you can get for $10 (saw price)+ 5 minutes, the go ahead
anyways short rams SUCK's, you better spend a little more and buy a INJEN or AEM cold air, that you can use it as a Short Ram or Cold Air intake (because they are 2 pieces)
And if you still want a ShortRamIn. well, i recommend INJEN or AEM, that at least its a compleate thing
thanks, dont miss understand this post, RRM its the BEST on RA parts (perf. and styling) good prices, but I dont think their intakes are the best option

First i ran i SRI and a CAI noth injen on my auto and think the SRI overall is doing more. Low end and torque are increased compared to CAI which lowers the low end for high end gains.
As for which SRI to use, I think its a matter of which one you think looks nice IMO.
The difference in gains between brands will not be noticable without a dyno and still will be small at best.
I chose injen b/c its 2pc. so i could experiment with SRI or CAI (ruling out RRM) and b/c AEM doesnt make a CAI for autos (as of when i bought mine, dunno if it changed)

Thanks guys, think I'm gonna go with the AEM Short Ram. Looks better plus like you said it's a complete piece back to the throttle body. I would like to go cold air 2 piece but I figure I'm never gonna use the full cold air system cause where I'm located it rains alot and streets flood around my daily commute. Plus I really don't want to spend $260.00+ to get an intake, plus a bypass valve for the possible hydrolock factor I have. Thanks again.

Oh by the way, I found a SRI on ebay for you. It's an AEM SRI. Pretty cheap.
