RRM's stage 1 is the Clutchmasters stage 1. I wish I had noticed that site yesterday I just ordered that clutch for $300 + ship from somewhere else. Most places have it listed for $390. No idea why RRM's price is so insanely high, but I notice that tends to be the case with any parts they resell (don't make themselves). I guess you pay for convenience. Anyways, I would jump on that clutch soon. They show list price as $335, which isn't accurate, so it makes me wonder if that price is an oversight.

Where did you get one for 300? What kind?

It's the clutchmasters stg 1. eBay. I actually spent the past week trying to track down an ACT stage 1. I got 3 different suppliers to quote me $309 + ship, but when it came down to ordering it, they all told me it'd be a 1+ month wait to be able to get everything. Seems ACT doesn't keep the kits on hand for our car. One place tried to hand assemble the ACT kit for me, but they couldn't track down the pressure plate. Clutchmasters is far easier to find.

Feel free to hunt me down on AIM if you have more questions

From the look of those it seems that RRM is WAY over inflated....
What keywords did you use to track down the clutchmasters on ebay?

Ralliart lancer clutch. The guy doesn't list by part number for some reason. I also tried tracking down clutches by Spec, but they are too expensive, and Exedy/Daikin. Even though Exedy/Daikin make our OEM clutch, they claim that they don't have clutches for our car, which is BS.

I looked it up but only came up with a couple that were over 400. I saved the search so hopefully something will pan out...

I just bought it yesterday, remember? Anyways, buy it from mitsubishipartsstore.com. They are by far the cheapest price at $268 + ship.

FYI, for completeness on this thread. I just received an OEM flywheel (which I'll resurface ahead of time, before my clutch replacement, to speed up the process.) It's definitely a stepped flywheel, which is why it's so damn heavy. The step is small, 6.3mm, according to my digital caliper.

Do you think it would be a good idea to just go ahead an have mine machined when i do the clutch job? An how much should they take off?
(i have 0 experience in any of this)
