I think I paid about 190 after shipping for the Innovate Motorsports LC-1. Cheapest I could find that I had heard good things about. RRM swears by Zeitronix, so that's another good choice, but more expensive. See what you have in your area, that's a specialized thing and you might have a few companies based in AU somewhere.

its better in a way. dyno shops put the o2 sensor at your exhaust tip which is less accurate then a wideband o2 that you put in right next to the ECUs o2 sensor.

it's after the cat, if you are running catless it would be pretty much negligible but a cat changes the chemical compostition of the exhaust and that's what the o2 sensor measures. It is less accurate, but if you don't intend on tuning yourself it's probably an acceptable margin. You will continue to pay other people money to tune your car unless you buy your own though.

Man I'd love to tune my car. Will we be able to tell if we are gaining more power or losing? Or were going to need a dyno for that right?

Or you could use the dyno function in Evoscan. It may not be accurate enough to say you have XXX WHP, but you should be able to compare two runs and see which made more power.

yeah, actually I am not sure if evoscan would be accurate enough for that. I haven't actually logged and analyzed my runs like that but it says I have something like 500hp half the time. I wish

Did you edit the car weight and gear ratios?

Also, have you got the TPS to read correctly?

yes, yes, and no. I haven't had the chance to look at it, Easter weekend and all. Had to go to my dads and my gf's parents houses this weekend. Does it use the tps value to calculate hp? maybe

Change it from 100x/255 to (x-132)/1.06

That changed my logs from reading 51.765% at idle and 93.333% at WOT to reading 0% to 100%. Depending on what your lowest and highest values are, it may still need to be tweaked a bit, but that's what is working for me.

What's WOT?

How do you know how to differentiate your air to fuel ratios at particular RPMS?

WOT=wide open throttle

Log a run with a wideband O2 sensor as an auxiliary input, it'll show you what your AFR is at any point in the run. I'm saving up for one now.

I will see how this works, mine was 51.xxx at idle but only 92.xx at WOT, so probably a little off from this, but better than I am working with.
