do you polish the IM to or just do the port?

Just a port. You don't want to polish the IM, that'd be bad. RRM doesn't polish it, either.

Did porting give you any noticable gains? How much did it cost you?

it costs $65 + shipping, gains are ok. it would probably be better with turbo.

compared to the 349 RRM charges that awesome!! they do advertise that they polish theirs though....weird.

Yes I was going to say, why is it so cheap with others and than RRM is 349. Well we all know RRM mean serious business.

RRM's costs more because they powdercoat it and the porting is done for them by another company. They also maintain a few cores, which isn't cheap. PPI does the porting in-house and doesn't coat the manifold unless you request it, in which case they offer the Swain-tech coating. And again, neither of them polish the runners, that'd be bad, RRM's label saying port/polish is a misprint. You want to leave intake runners unpolished to facilitate a better mixing of the fuel in the air.

the almost 300 difference is worth sacrificing your car for a little while.
