True, I'll give it a few thousand kms to let her wear in and then take it to Haltech. It just feels like its taking too long to get through the revs (particularly 4900-6500, will have to double check it though) and it doesn't seem like its pushing harder than it should. Like it sounds much louder and meaner towards top-end but I don't feel.... I don't know..
I know I might be too optimistic here but you know when you just get "that feeling" somethings not right.
I better not come back here and say "actually, it was me, everything is fine and nothing to worry about"
Slap myself silly!

Sounds like its running a little leaner than it may want. The same thing happened when Mitsu flashed my car and I had the RRM piggyback. Before that it was absolutely brutal in top end, after that flashed it was running leaner and it had trouble revving up high.
A little note on that, if you use 100 + octane gas that lean spot becomes a power adder. fora day at the track it works wonders. I havent done it myself but from some friends did it and the car drop .2 seconds it's ET at the 1/4 mile...mileage went up by 2 miles more or close
and yes MY clutch started to slip with about 170 hp, maybe its the way i shift (speedshifting) but it definately in the end was slipping to the point of not being able to push it.
P.S. Our prayers to our fine friends in AU, hope things get better soon

Hey Kreepaevox, so what do you think I need to do to get this fixed? I think its definitely running leaner in top end. Feels a little weird.
And yes, I use 100 RON gas.
I'll have to definitely let someone drive it to see if they can notice anything.
The last thing I want to do is take it back and have them charge me.

100ron woah, how much it cost u a litre, im using regular unleaded atm at about $1.30/ltr (~+0.10 for premium, 98ron?)
do u need that octane for the cams? or u just doing it just incase, or power?

It depends to be honest. Like somedays its anywhere between $1.30 - $1.50/ltr. In Sydney anyway. I'll have to double check.
No I don't need it to run the cams, its just that when I was going for the tune, it was best to tune with high octane gas to get the most out of the tune and cams.
I'll probably fill up with regular gas and see if there is any difference, pretty sure there will be though.

If by detonation you mean - won't perform as well than if it were to use 100RON well, then yep!

i mean like, if u tune at 100ron and coz its less likely to 'pre-fire' compared to lower octane, if u hit a lean spot as i read a few posts up, wont the lower ron detonate / ping -> engine go boom

Okay, if you look back in the earlier posts you will see my dyno chart. You'll see the torque kick in quite well and then it appears to drop off suddenly.
I passed this information onto Haltech because I was a bit weary. Nonetheless, they had a copy of that chart told me that basically the drop that you notice doesn't necessarily reflect the cars performance. (i.e torque drops off at 5000rpm the car will not noticably slow down).
They told me different dyno's have a way of showing their readings and that I shouldn't take the chart for face value. Made sense I guess. Then the rep told me if I wanted to I could bring my car into to check the difference in the torque curve with their dyno compared to the other dyno. Both hub-dyno's (or Eddy Current Dyno) btw.
For example, a curve like the one shown attached is haltechs. Take a look at it.
Nonetheless, I'll take it in sometime to get the reading and check it out. I'll also speak to them about it being a little lean. See what they have to say!
