Those parts look great! Keep us posted on the outcome, also how heavy were the two combined (cam gear and shaft?)
I apologize the only sub-machine gun i've held is a MP3 and well i can't compare since it was a while ago.. haha

When tuning you will be tuning for a target AFR, the engine itself will dictate how much fuel it is lacking or needs by the AFR.

2. Also with the new camshaft installed, and with retuning, will the mivec point change? The reason I ask this is because I read somewhere whilst searching the threads that generally the mivec switchover will change slightly to a higher rpm range, i.e 4000rpm+

Mivec is controlled solely by the ECU, which is fed a signal from an oil pressure sensor that triggers the Mivec switchover. The reason I mention the ECU at all is because there are certain triggers that will force the ECU to stay out of Mivec, such as the warm up period just after you start the engine.

I'm not impressed---> I couldn't get 16k out of the stock RSA's, let alone a set of BFG summer tires

I would go with the KDW's then. or put kdw's on your stock rims and put some track tires on your new rims.

Looks great - the results from the cam will be very interesting you will probably see gains in all areas and get full use out of the whole rev range thru to redline...

Tires I have Yokahama R1 A Drive I have done over 30kklm on mine and there is still quite a bit of tread left on them I figure about another 15kklm but I have been rotating the tires front to back every 7kklm to keep the wear even the tires are brilliant great for track - drag and street.. but they are expensive for 16" they cost $260 per corner 17" will be similar expect to pay $280

The car is going into the shop next week on Wednesday 23rd at 8:00am.

She'll be in there for 2-3 days and hopefully be ready to be picked up by the weekend!

Update:

I've since filled up with Castrol Sports Edge 5W30 Fully Synthetic. (Tried looking for Castrol Syntec - )

I've added the factory oil filter.

Added the 3" pod filter and I am very happy with it. More suction and air flow and I can feel it through the gears (the oil change helped alot). I added some cloth tape around the end of the 2.5" intake pipe to fill the .5" gap.

Took her for a test run and by god she is behaving well. Throttle is exceptionally outstanding and I couldn't be more happy. A slight tap on the throttle at around 3000rpm and shes wanting to rocket out of the gear. Very pleased indeed.

She will respond very well to the cams and I can't wait to let her have her new mod and tune!

Wednesday, coming soon!

Update:

Car goes in tomorrow!

As mentioned earlier, I will be giving the tuner a bit of homework -

1. Power run with current tune.
2. Power run with camshaft + cam gears installed w/ stock ecu (haltech ecu reset)
3. Power run with camshaft + cam gears installed w/ tuned ecu.
4. Tune to 98 RON
5. Add more fuel at Mivec switchover

If theres anything else I should look out for, let me know

Yeah I can't wait as well! hehe

She'll be running on a "Dynapack Dyno". It's a hub-dyno, like Dynojet.

Keep in mind, the reading will be around 20-25% lower than if it were running on a roller dyno.

dynapack dyno is similar to mustang, not dynojet. dynojet is a roller type.
