yeah, that's speed shifting and it's not good for your car. When you shift up you want to have the rpm fall to just the right point on the tach as you complete the shift and engage the clutch, and when shifting down you want to blip the throttle just enough so it's at the correct RPM to shift into gear and engage the clutch.
this is all rev matching basics. kreepa is speaking in terms of the fastest shift possible, not rev matching.
try and see if it's easier to engage the gearshift into a gear with the drivetrain and transmission at the same speed at the clutch or with the engine at idle and you will see what I am talking about. just as what causes the clutch to slip in a case like your second video is coming off the clutch after you floor the gas instead of at the same time. The idea is since the engine is at the correct RPM and in gear when you start to come off the clutch there is no lag between the transmission and drivetrain; you can begin to SMOOTHLY depress the accel. to the floor as soon as you reach the clutch engagement point.
Check out the clutch block thread in the diy section for help with clutch engagement.
Remember man, I'm not knocking on you. Everyone misses shifts, I know I do. I am just trying to help educate you if you don't know about some of the finer points of owning a manual transmission. There are lots of techniques you can use to improve your shifting, and even the lifetime of your transmission components. search the internet for reve matching, heel and toe, double clutching. Make sure you don't get some lame *** honduh forum reading either. There are some decent threads on evom, but there are much easier to read articles available from reputable sources online. There even some very good videos done by some guy in his BMW M5 on various techniques, including launching

Seriously, good information there though, and will read and look up some vids. I know shifting is very important and it helps especially in a race.
So instead of coming off the clutch after I floor the gas, you mean for me to slowly come off the clutch, step on the accelator and engage the gear change at the same time?

Mit, where did U see that?....Im scared now..and somehow confused
I has a SERIOUS traction problem that day, that was like, 3 days after I put the RRM header on the RA...mines the loudest...still an Old vid, you should hear it now
PS, I miss shifts too, everyone does...if it the video I think, in the 3rd pass I miss 3rd gear pretty badly

it goes like this for shifting up.
same time: push clutch in and apply tension to gearshift
as the clutch hits the floor you should already be coming out of gear and going into the next one
as your hand finishes the shift your foot should be nearing the engagement point, the further from the floor it engages the more likely you are to slip your clutch.
same time: with the clutch starting to engage (it has to be grabbing) you should start to roll onto the throttle, pushing it all the way to the floor at the same speed you are coming off the clutch. any faster and you are likely to slip it.
If the accelerator is on the floor before the clutch is FULLY engaged you will slip the clutch (barring a race setup ) so make sure you don't apply throttle until you know the clutch is engaging.

for downshifting while accelerating:
same time: clutch in, tension on gearshift
clutch disengages, blip throttle and as tach jumps put into lower gear
before tach falls engage clutch and push accel pedal (same speed, accel only after clutch begins to engage)
no matter what you should have the clutch passed it's engagement point before you put any load on it.

So today I decided to do a 1st > 2nd gear in-car action.

Ohhh you mean that OLD vid?
thats the 3-4 upshift, I had traction issues like always, passed him on 4 gear and pull car and a half before he lets.

It idles at 650-750rpm. The lower lobes were not touched.
The CEL is thrown due to the headers. Can't do much unless I purchase RRM's CEL Eliminator or something similar to change the voltage.
