RPW - Camshaft & Cam Gear & Retune!
So you've guessed it, the next upcoming modifications will be the 'RPW Camshaft and Cam Gears'. I thought I'd start a thread to keep you all updated about my thoughts on the products, developments and service.
The Plan:
Step 1: Within in about a week or two I will be receiving the RPW Camshaft and Vernier Cam Gears.
Step 2: Before the installation of the Camshaft + Cam Gears & Retune of the Haltech ECU, the following will take place:
1. Oil and Oil Filter Change.
2. Add a new 3" 3A Racing Pod Filter. Some mild modifications will be done on the 2.5" RRM intake piping to fit the 3" pod filter.
Step 3: Arriving 'Mid-May' are my Matte Black 5zigen F1N0R-C rims. Once they arrive, i'll head down to the tyre store and find myself some new tyres to put on before the installation. I'd prefer lighter wheels before the retuning of the ecu as I'll want to maximise the results.
I was thinking of getting either: Michelin, Advan-Yokohamas (current) or Bridgestone Potenzas
*Any suggestions?
Step 4: Once all the above are arrive, I'll be bringing the RA to the tuner for installation & retuning. To get some accurate results to post up here, I'll be requesting the following from the tuner.
1. Power run with current tune.
2. Power run with camshaft + cam gears installed w/ reset ecu.
3. Power run with camshaft + cam gears installed w/ tuned ecu.
From time to time I'll be taking photos and writing up reviews.

Just some background.
I finally decided to go with RPW because they're here in Australia and as a donor for the testing, I would get the Camshaft and Cam Gears at a heavily discounted price. Just to let you all know, we don't exactly know what this camshaft will produce, but hopefully it will be some kick a** numbers. Quite frankly I'm only interested in a kick-a** torque curve!
Profile: Mild to Aggressive Profile
There are a few things I want this camshaft to do.
1. Power, smooth idle, good fuel economy for daily street car.
2. Have the camshaft lobes to be mildy/aggressively modified from mivec-point onwards.
3. Kick-a**!

For daily driving, the BFG KDW-2's have a great treadlife and excellent traction.

Dude PLEASE post some pics of the wheels , how much they weight and also are they 17's ?
When speaking about tires I have to say nothing like NItto INVO but too expensive
I have used the Nt 555 and they have a killer grip
As for the camshaft remember when tuning that you will have a lot more air coming to the engine when 3500 + so remind that to your tuner .... trow some more fuel in that range and everybody will get served hehehe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post pictures for you both when recieved in the box and on the car.
Specifcations - 5zigen F1N0R-C:
17 x 7 - 5 x 114.3 - 16lbs
In the meantime, these are the wheels.
- Illustration purposes only.
As for tyres, I'll probably go any of the three mentioned on the first post. I really like those tyres. The Advan Yokohamas were a beauty, full of grip and have lasted long, 17,000kms and still going. The front tyres are ageing, but the rear, a beauty!
lol, second that

Just so I can clear things up.
Yes, the picture shows 4 lug nuts, its for illustration purposes. A 5 lug setup is avaliable. C'mon guys, not like we haven't seen a few of us have these wheels
For example, reTro!
