so hear it is the 3.8 bolts right up but due the size of it the car idles like **** and the ecu cannot deicde what to do with it . I drove it 5ft and it killed itself due to the idle issue but danm it sounds so bad *** . im assuming that if the mani was ported to match the tb it would work . im going to try more ideas to get this to work i did notice that this can be possible but is it worth it ? im going to place my order with proflow on monday for a tb and even tho its 2mms bigger im sure it wil benefit

1. how do you figure changing a stock part to accommodate an odd part is going to fix a poorly running engine

2. how long did you let it idle after you reset the ECU the first time?

I hope to god you listened to the PR guys. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: if you think you are the first, a Puerto Rican's already done it on the RA.

its impossible to swap the 3.8 in the ra not only is it going to be a money pit but the power to weight ratio is going to be so effed up , search it its been discussed swapping the 3.8 in a ra

I bought the proflow tb now and there is some difference in the car it screams above 4k . I dont think any hp was gained but throttle response has greatly improved since I now have a ported im and the tb

i emailed the company from the link for PnP throttle bodies

guy that emailed me back said the 3.8L should work on the 2.4L the only thing is the intake manifold will have to be bored to match the throttle body

Is this referring to a stock intake manifold? I have an rrm intake manifold and I'm wondering about a bored TB. I see the eclipse TB will work. Just wondering if I'll still need to port the rrm intake mani to match?

Thanks,
Mike.

I dunno if I believe that, cause essentially that dude is saying the reason the car bogs and dies is cause the intake manifold is not opened enough for the new tb. Personally I think there is still something more, but no one will know till someone tries it I guess. I would love to give it a shot, but I don't have a second intake manifold

Maybe we need to get a "community" manifold much like the EvoM flywheel.
