I read that Mitsubishi will be using Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI)instead of a conventional Multi-Port Injection (MPI) in some of it's engines. Is the Mivec one of them? The GDI Setup has a more efficient way of burning fuel.

As far as American gas is concerned, a GDI motor would not be able to handle the the sulfer content. The 4G69 is your standard MPI motor.
