Unhappy 4g69 swap

So my 04 RA, has seized. i didn't take proper care of it as i had recently lost my job and it was low on my list priorities. I found 4g69 from an 09 eclipse at a very good price($750). so my thought is to just swap it in, and was wondering if you guys could point out some things to look for, whether it will be a doable thing or not. i have reasonable knowledge of cars and all the tools i would need to do it myslef but cant be buying a new tranny and dont really want to mess around with modifying the wire harness.

TLDR; will a 4g69 from an 09 eclipse fit nicely into my 04 ralliart?

sure it fits, never done it, but i would think the sensors are the same, so i would think the control harness would be plug and play. Also i've heard the transmission is slightly different, but if just your motor is toast just use the transmission you had.

i'd be willing to bet it bolts up, it should be the same block, can you see it in person? or at least pictures?

i dont see why it shouldn't work. unless the crank is different and its like a 6bolt. im pretty sure ours is 7?

im fairly sure it should work since you're asking just about the block. only thing i'd wonder is if its the same oilpan. i know the one from the outlander has a different oilpan that didnt fit our car from another thread.

Hopefully if there are differences like the oil pan or ancillaries you can use your original ones.
