04 ralliart cat back exhaust

Ok I'm looking at putting a new exhaust (cat back) on my 04 ralliart. I'm looking for a deep beastly tone. I DO NOT want the loud annoying bumble bee sound. And I'm not looking to spend a butt load. Does anyone have any suggestions? I just put an AEM short ram intake on it and want it to sound good.
Thanks drewski

I have had my magnaglow for 6+ years with no issues. Any decent brand muffler should give a nice deep tone as long as you don't remove the catalytic converter.

Flowmaster DBX. I picked one up, will install soon. Different sound than the other makes, doesn't rely on glass wrap to attenuate the noise. Check their website or you-tube vids.

And Cranswick's cherry bomb is excellent, it's probably the sound you say you want.

This post doesnt make sense

Getting a deep tone does not warrant a purchase of a catback.

You quickly want to hear a deep tone then go magnaflow or borla universal muffler....my 2cents

You can always buy a cheap-o muffler that can get what you want, cheap-o doesn't always mean bad

Custom > RRM and any kit you can find....you just need to know what you want and how much it costs in average

seriously a cherry bomb turbo is like $40 and sounds really good...mine has a $60 tip also from cherry bomb...it's starting to rust after 2 years, but survived 2 southern ontario winters and 600km highway drives every weekend where the salt is the worst...The tip will be reusable when the muffler rots.

I would be careful with muffler swap I did it but couldn't get a decent weld on it so it fell off and now I just purchased the catback. No leaks and a controllably quiet car.

strange, i wouldn't tell people that as advice, it's probably isolated to your own experience, i've had a few vehicles prior to my lancers, and mufflers rot out and need replacing, and you don't need to buy a cat back every time your muffler starts to rattle or leak...

how long did it take to fall off? and who welded it?

Ok so unless it's a pro job I still say if you want that louder tone go for the catback. That is a tough weld when it's not on a lift especially the top of it. So Idk i live in wisconsin and stuff rusts so that's just me. I think it all depends. I will say w/o muffler it really doesn't sound bad.

are you kidding? without a muffler sounds like a piece of shyt, and to weld the top of the pipe you just take it off the hangers...
