I still find the throttle difficult to control from idle to about 1200 rpm, and that's after 4.5 years and well over 100 000 km. Only car I've had this issue with. You barely look at it and the engine goes racing away, probably have to sneak up on it with a light flywheel, but I still want one.

I have te evo 8 dash and redline Gets to 6800rpm before it falls on it face..but shifting at 6k I think would be bet since it does fall right in torque band I'll have to hit the strip and compare to my previous times.. If you bring rpms up slowly the car sounds like its being overworked cause it's like shift or slam on the gas! You have to feel the car my first stick didn't have a rpm gauge so I had to "feel" it my dad said I used to shift at 10mph to second and 20mph to third thinking the only gear that could go to high speeds was 5th boy was I wrong.. 7200 full boost would be REALLY FUN

Thanks a ton guys, this has helped. I had a feeling there was nothing wrong with shifting around 2-2.5k rpm. Just feels like thats the smoothest for me. I'll work on driving nice n smooth in 1st.
