No it doesnt void anything, its a filter almost identical to the stock one only that it allows much more air through and its good for 1 million miles, and all u have to do is take it out when it needs to be cleaned and wash it. I'm going to get one, and it is almost just as good as a CAI on the RA.

they'd sell them, but u'll have to order them, and they will ask u to pay up front. Only takes about 3-4 days to get em in.

Dude, these things are nowhere near as good as a CAI.

Ok, the K&N filter produces a max of 4% more of your bhp, which, on an RA, comes to 6.48 more hp. A CAI will add on roughly 10 more hp to ur bhp. Now, the reason the CAI is "technically" better is because on a K&N filter, to produce the max 168.48 bhp on a RA, it has to be a cold day, so on a normal day, you won't be getting nearly that much horsepower. The CAI is always a constant 9-10 hp because the air doesn't change, thats why its called a Cold Air Intake. Now, as far as hp goes, the K&N on its best day is 3.52 less hp than the CAI. So, if you think that the 3.52 hp is a big difference, well then go ahead and think that. But, in regards to price, the K&N filter will run u MAX=$70. The CAI is on Road Race is $219. So, I believe, unless you have an extra $150 to blow on a CAI, you get the K&N filter. Plus, the filter is good for 1 million miles and you'll never have to replace it again, and it keeps your engine cleaner. I'm getting one because I've already been over this debate in my head, and the K&N came out on top.

I agree that K&N drop ins are a decent, affordable replacement, they are better than stock, but the bottom line (for me anyway) is, if you're going for performance, go with the CAI. But if you're nervous about warranties, or aren't fortunate to be able to afford a CAI, then the drop in from K&N is a good alternative. But if you just bought a brand new ralliart, chances are you can afford the CAI. I've spoken with Injen, they are working on one. AEM may be also. RRM already has a pretty nice one. I've had a couple of Honda VTECS already (B16a, B18c1), and on the dyno, the CAI has yielded 18+WHP. I can't imagine it being much different for the MIVEC. just my 2 cents
