for the head studs, i used ARP, but any high strength aftermarket head studs designed for racing application will work...what you want is 11mm 4g63 head studs...same as all 7-bolt motors.

for LSD's your choices are Quaife, Wavetrac or RTM racing's LSD conversion unit (similar to phantom grip)...as far as i know, OBX and Kaaz never made one for this transmission.
Thank you man, very much appreciated. I've gone and ordered ARP studs already - I know these are a worthwhile investment. LSD I will wait on, I'd first like to see how my car handles without an LSD.

So it looks like Road Race Motorsports has taken care of everything for me regarding the flywheel problem. CM has already sent out the new one and RRM covered the shipping cost I had to pay to send back the wrong one.

I'm going to start a progress thread on the swap soon - might even go and get myself a better camera (as the one on my phone isn't so great) and I've wanted a camera for a long time - this might be a good enough reason to now get one to take some clear shots of the progress.

to anyone stuck doing this on your won its really difficult to lift the tranny, rotate it, operate the jack, and fight to allign everything by yourself. If you can get 1-2 others youll be ok, if you stick on your own like i was i higly recommend this little unit http://www.princessauto.com/pal/prod...ission-Adapter

its not the best built little unit but it did make the job a hell of a lot easier, also if you not satisfied money back :P, more importantly if your own you own it will allow you to do the job and be done in a day easy

Yep no problems at all with the flywheel made for the car; just they screwed up and sent me an 08' Lancer GTS one first haha

Oh I should add though, that even with the correct flywheel, I did need the longer bolts.

Ran across this lancer conversion. Amazing effort. So make your choice wisely, Grasshopper.

Would you still have needed to cut the bolts with a class 10.9 M12x1.25x25MM as in this link ?

https://www.belmetric.com/bh12x125x2...th=506_510_411

Thanks.

Do you need a certain non-stock length, my friend?
