sportbacks are 4G64????
That makes no sense at all.
the 4G64 is the Eclipse and Galant motor with NO MIVEC. The 4G69 is the MIVEC motor. Dont see why that would change with a body style.

no I dont believe that they do offer a non MIVEC for the sportback. Both the regular sportback and the RA sportback offer the MIVEC 4G69 motor, the differences are in wheels and suspension, NOT the motor.

OK, just double checked and the sportback does NOT offer anything other than the MIVEC. For some reason they rate the LS at 160 hp and the RA at 162 hp, but they are both technically the same motor.

the other is the 4G64 and is in the 3g Eclipse and the new Galant models. Also included in the 96-99 Eclipse Spyder non turbo
4G63 is teh engine code for all turbo Eclipses and the Evo as well as a few other cars.

The 4G69 is very different from the rest of the 4G engine family, hence the jump from 64 to 69.
