fan module, again
"Again" for the fact that this subject has been posted over and over, and because this will be my second replacement.
I bought my 04 RA Sportback with 62k miles in 2009 from a Mitsu dealer (never doing THAT again). The fan was running on for about 30-60 seconds after the engine was shut off. Thanks to this website, I learned that the module was bad before the 30 day warranty expired and it was replaced at the dealer. I'm "assuming" that it was replaced with a factory part.
Now it's at 115k total miles and six more years. This week the fan has run for a few seconds after the engine is off. No question about what I need to do. I checked on mitsubishiparts.net, and jnztuning.com. The genuine part is about $200. A Beck/Arnley module is about $55 on Rockauto.
Big difference! Which part should I buy? I'm planning to keep the car as long as possible.
