unless you have a dry sump system, you will ALWAYS COLD START.. there is no way around it..

its a great idea to warm it up so you actually make sure the oil is flowing good especially in the cold and then take it slow for a mile or two

Oil is flowing completely within seconds (1-5, 5 at most). Idle for 10 seconds, no reason to do more. The car warms up very fast when you drive it carefully.
