Ralliart turning radius

Ralliart turning radius
I don't know if this has been brought up or not but has anyone else noticed that the turning radius on the ralliart sucks. I used to drive a civic and I can make U turns with no problem but with the ralliart, I find that the turing circle is terrible. I was told by the Mitsubishi dealer that it was because of the sport suspension but I wasn't really sure if that was the reason. Let me know if anyone else feels the same way.

That sports suspension is bs, because it applies to the ES and OZ aswell.
I thought I was the only only one that felt this way, I can never make a U-turn on a normal street with 2 lanes(with no median). I always try but I end up just backing up, its annoying I think it might even be worse than my SUV.
Also, I remember when Top Gear reviewed the Evo FQ400 the guy went on and on about how crappy the Evo's turning radius was.

I don't know... The TME in that evo tribute vid seemed to be turning pretty good
I'd have to agree that without awd or aggressive use of the ebrake, we aint making no 2 lane u-turns without thinking about it first and swinging wide.

power slide with the ebrake...its fun. I also wish they had made a closer lock to lock ration. I think the RA is 2.8 lock to lock. This is a bit slow. something like a 2.3 would kick but. I find it bothersome in autox when I do tight slaloms

I had a del sol before and yeah, that was one of my first gripes with the ralliart. The turn radius isn't that great. However, you can still make u turns. I do use the E-brake on occasion but thats not really practical for normal driving.

i have no problem making U turns on a two lane street. our turning radius is worse than the 02-03s cause i think the 04+ lancers have a longer wheelbase. if you having a hard time making U turns here's my advice: accelerate hard, swing the wheel off to the right a bit, turn sharply to the left and pull the e-brake, complete the 180 and drive off like nothing happened. lol
