Angry dyno results

i just got back from the dyno and the results really suck. they were no where close to what i was expecting. i'll scan the sheets later but the best numbers i got were 153 whp and 158.3 torque. this was dyno'd with the rrm cai, rrm downpipe, rrm piggyback, and a ractive muffler. my first dyno was done with just the cai and i got 149.3 whp and 148 torque. to me, the money was not worth the gains. the power curve is nice and smooth now, but other than that i'm really dissappointed.

yes, it was on the same exact dyno, done by the same person at the same shop. it's the only one here in town. it's a dyno-jet, by the way.

i dynoed higher /w just the CAI and piggy. I got 159hp, 163tq. maybe the piggy is defective or not wired correctly? with the downpipe from what the ricers here say, u should be about 10hp &tq higher. but i like to see numbers =)

i'm gonna go re-check all the connections with the piggyback and make sure everything is hooked up right. i'm pretty sure evertything is ok with that but who knows.

That's a good point... did you do rims after the last dyno or were they always on?

yeah i actually thought about that a little while ago. i got the rims after the last dyno. how big of a difference would that actually make though? i guess i could try it again another day with the stock rims. either way, after seeing those numbers it made me decide to just start saving up for the turbo kit. so hopefully in about a year i can afford it.

It could put quite a bit of effect on it, I believe.

This is the best example how bigger rims (no matter how light) can effect HP. It takes more effort for a 4 banger to turn bigger wheels.
