I've been doing quite a bit of research, and I just can't see the SRI coming close to the CAI's gains with the ram air mod. I was looking on AEM's site and looking at their dyno PDFs, and I can't see the SRI gaining 8hp from the ram air mod to catch up to the CAI.

Interesting. Those are quite some significant gains. So most all CAIs will give you the same amount of gains give or take 1 - 2 hp?

They should be fairly similar, as long as they don't have any funky kinks in their design.

I've attached the dynoes for the AEM SRI as well. The difference in the numbers is quite significant. The CAI was dynoed on a manual, the SRI on an automatic.

That alone is enough to explain the difference. Auto trannies lose more HP than manual trannies.

Here is my DIY too. Cost me all of $15. for tubing and attachment, $10. for the ebay filter, and one cut stock intake box. A K&N filter is on order.
