Hooking laptop to ECU

I used an ELM327 bluetooth adapter to data log, and scan/clear DTC's using OBDscope for Nokia Symbian...Torque for android works too...not sure about iphone...
now i just use UVtune and a tactrix cable...but i still use the bluetooth adapter, it stays in the car, cause i don't always have the laptop with me
