hole size on shift knob
A buddy of mine gave me a really cool shift knob that comes stock on the is300. Its a round knob with chrome on top and grey on the lower half, and it matches perfectly. I tried to just screw it on and thread it myself but it is several sizes smaller than our shift bolt. I tried to drill it out but the largest bit i have is too small and i need to go buy a bigger drill bit. What i wondering is if anyone knows what size bit i would need. I would like to keep the hole slightly smaller than our bolt so i can screw it on with a little glue to make it stay.

caliper is a special tool used to measure the size, in this case radius of an object with the best of precision... An example of one is...:
But there are other options... you can find one of those drill bit gauges... Which looks like this:
Yea i'm bored and i went all out on this response... The third method would be to use a ruler.. lol
