Looks like the same engine to me, just a different cover.

Well, it IS still an automatic. The continuously variable tranny is cool though. Be nice if that were an option in the US.

I wouldn't choose that option if they had it. I prefer to maintain some semblance of control over what gear my car is in. I understand what they do, just not how they do it. Maybe that's what I'll try to read up on next week while I'm bored at work.

I'm thinking the MX is their "sport" model and he added the Ralliart badge/designation himself.

Still, some cool trim options on that Mitsu page.

4 bolt wheels and thats not a MIVEC motor. Looks like an es with a lip kit. And how do we realy know its a 6 speed? It could be a 4 speed.

Erm, I'm confused, how can it be both a CVT and a 6 speed? CVTs don't have gears. Me thinks there's no CVT, just a normal auto tranny with the sportronic option.

I know exactly how he got this car to be the way it is.

Location: Quezon City, Philippines

I would have also thought that a Non-Spoilered Ralliart with a foriegn licence plate in the front and the letters "MX" as a badge and the gagues in km/h only would have at least hinted that it's not a north-american Ralliart.

Even still, seeing luxury leather in this car still looks wierd; I would have expected vented sport leather.

In terms of the CVT/Sportronic, I would think that it's a CVT in normal automatic mode, but when switched to Sportronic, it has 6 computer-controlled ratios that instruct the CVT gears to lock in a specific position to create the 'gears' the tranny shifts to.
