clutch slipping =[

Are you sure? Our 1st gear is so short, I think it'd be hard to tell that it's slipping. Take the car up to about 15mph, put it in 5th, and floor it. That'll tell you if it's slipping or not. The 05's haven't been out long enough yet to have slipping clutches, unless it's been abused.

Under a certain extent is that true, the parts should still be garaunteed for a certain time period. If my clutch started to slip already I'd be pissed, but I only have 5000miles on it

My clutch went out at 5,000 miles but you gotta remember that I learned on my car. Mitsu didn't know that and I still had to pay for the new clutch. Sorry man, you're going to have to pay.

its slipping when its fully engaged, i never launch at anything over 2.5k rpm

welcome to mitsu's stock clutches. they suck ***. my friend has an oz rally and his went out at 20,000K and he never ever races. and mitsu quoted 1200$ for a new one installed. i heard evo clutches arent any better.

A friend of mine with an Evo even managed to tear up an Exedy triple plate carbon fiber clutch too.....but that was an install issue (only 1 plate was engaging I think was the issue....don't quote me I am not for sure). Took him awhile to figure that out.
Knock on wood.....I have had pretty decent luck thus far with the Mitsu clutches, but have heard many horror stories on different models (lancers, evos and eclipses).
