Well, if the new Evo X is all six speed manual or SMG, having a six speed RA wouldn't be that big a deal. It has to advance somewhere, so if we agree AWD is not the answer, it'll need a more powerful engine to remain competitive, NA or F/I at least 200 with an LSD. SRT-4 is gone, no longer a threat so the bogey is the Civic Si and then the Cobalt SS.

RA gearbox is pretty good. Just add LSD.

I have to disagree... the synchros are sh*tty at best (grinding between 1st and 2nd at high revs is a big problem for a lot of guys). Then, the 5th gear is too short (optimized for performance, of course), so we would need a 6th gear/overdrive to take the revs lower, back to a more normal level for highway cruising. I'm sorry, but 3500-3800 RPM on the highway is a bit high for my taste.

An LSD would be a nice option, but some people (who don't really drive the car that hard) would probably save themselves some tire wear and some front push in tight corners without one on the car. That being said, I would have gotten it myself had it been available at the time I got the RA...

Sounds like my Ralliart wish list...

200+ HP engine w/Turbo
6-Speed Transmission
LSD

That's nice.

I've been looking to get a new car for quite some time. The ralliart as it is now honestly isn't even an option.

The things that would sell me on the ralliart would be:
The jdm interior as posted earlier
17" rims, nothing larger, nothing smaller.
LSD
Turbocharged with 200hp +/- a few
$21-22k

The things that are keeping me from getting the ralliart now:
Sorry 04-06 guys but those headlights are hideous in my opinion.
Altezzas are also hideous.
170hp, the only option for substantial power is to use forced induction. Sure you can get a $4500'ish turbokit from RRM but there goes your warranty.

the only thing that makes the headlights look good is getting eyelids, as for everything else i agree 100%

Radical. I'm suprised to see the aluminum roof being implemented on an Outlander. I wonder if they can put a sunroof in that yet... I'm glad to see more Evo tech starting to trickle down to other vehicles. They really need to make this the best handling (not necessarily the most powerful, but would be nice) compact/midsize SUV in our market.

The eyelids look semi-alright on a black lancer from far away. On any other color they look cheap. I'm not trying to bash any of you that have it done, hell i'd probably do the same, but it could look so much better if it were changed...
