I bet a newer v6 6/5 speed tibby would give you a run for your money. They have more horsepower but weigh a more i'd say it'd be pretty close.

I'm assuming it was a pretty tight race? Which is going to come down to the drivers anyways.

Sounds like an easy win is just a few mods away...

Oh just thought of one, which i was surprised at. The lexus IS300, not the new 350. i went dead heat with one that looked stock a few weeks back. but that is with a few minor mods on my end. Either way i dunno if he just couldnt drive but i was right next to him untill round 100mph when we hit traffic.

the IS300, based on the hp/torque I figured would beat a RA, but based the 1/4 mile times i just found on a website it might be pretty close, 15.1 sec one site, 15.3 another. So who knows, could be a tight one.

As for the new IS 350, it would/should win, the new IS250 would be a good race though, based on a few websites it runs about 15.5 stock.

corollas are not slow at least not the 05-06 Xrs ones. Ive run against 3( non was stock)and only been able to beat one in the 1/4 mile. They take very well to mods. As far as v6 tibby , itll be a tight race if your Ra has mods , if its stock for stock then i give it to the tibby. Tc are dogs.

a corolla xrs is stock 0-60 in like 8.1s so the RA will stomp it.

with a few mods it should be a close race. then again if the XRS has a chip and pulleys it will be doin 0-60 in about 6.8 so i dunno...

oh and 1.8t GTI can not run away, with BOV and cat back.

YES. I drove an XRS, it was an even bigger waste of metal than the TC.

I walk RSX s all day long new or old. Especially absolutely killing them when shifting fourth gear, what was already no contest turned into an abusive display. Literally pulling about two eighteen wheelers on them.

XRS is trash only with SAFC VVTLI controller(CAmCOM), and full mods Ive had trouble.

SpecVs a re a damn joke even with full bolt ons I can kill them. I have only the Intake, RRM dowpipe and EvoJoes Pulley

Type-s should be a good race stock for stock they should beat a RA unless the driver sucks. I doubt you can take an RSX type-s that easy. I also doubt you can take a fully bolted spec considering they are almost identical performance wise compared to an RA with a little edge to the spec.

You can doubt all you want, most ppl here does anyways. My peeps from the island now the potential of the RA, especially in the top end. Without any restriction onthe exhaust, a good intake a a little trick here and there, it can be done.

RSXs please, theres more to life than hondas. RSXs aint much of a thing unless they have an Hondata and some tuning. But based on the basic mods vs basic mods. They arent much of a race. Hell, Ive beaten 2 RSXs with a 1997 4 door manual Mitsubishi Mirage, intake, header, full 2.25 exhaust, fuel regulator a chiped ECU and a ported intake mani. The Mirage foe the ppl that doenst know, is a SOHC 1.8 rated @ 113 measley hp

The most that car can put to the wheel as of currently cant be more that 125 hp

If you dont believe in your car, thats YOUR problem.
