Mitsubishi Lancer VR-X

Low life and the ES don't belong in the same sentence Chowetime! Yours especially, you and RPW have probably shown more than anyone a lot of the potential the car has.
I'm the retard who said "I'll take it" to the dealer before I'd even seen the car. Much less driven it. Fortunately for me had i test driven it I wouldn't have changed my mind.
My Magna was great (and if the Lancer proves to be anywhere near as reliable I'll be thrilled) but I love this car to death.
Oh and MITVRX Advans are Yokohamas... if you got other Yoko's... bummer.

Do you think purchasing from the US would be a problem?

Damn, wrong about the headlights. I thought I remembered someone posting a blue VR-X with chrome headlights, must've been a lesser model.
PM ROCK to see if he'll ship to Australia. I would think he would, since they regularly ship to Canada. However, with shipping costs, it'd probably be cheaper to wait for RPW to come out with an intake.

Hey Ryan,
Oops, sorry about that. Your correct, and sorry to the other dude who I corrected.
Ralliart50, yeah I spoke to RRM, they said they can ship....but still, I would prefer to source parts locally...damn this.
Thanks otter, I'll PM rock, see what he thinks....

Hi,
im also from Sydney, Australia and looking at buying a sportback later this year.
and after reading some reviews and specs and comparing US to Aus
the US version seems to have more power then our VRX here.
US version has the same power as the outlander 120 kw vs our VRX lancer 115 kw.
as anyone noticed this? or am i wrong?
cheers
Bru

the gains are very noticeable the car revs that much more freer my dyno results that are shown at the bottem of my sig are with the smaller diameter extractors and no intake mods... this number is much higher now as I have the larger extractors and a pod filter my track times also imprved from 16.2 to 15.5 again this was with the small diameter extractors... if I had to give a number as to what the larger ones have given my car I would be comfortable in saying that the car would do a 15.3 maybe 15.2 ... hp would be much closer to the 170hp but this is using a hub dyno not the roller dyno type which would be about 145hp atw and as an added bonus the fuel consumption is much better than stock I am now getting with careful driving about 500klm per tank vs stock with very careful driving 420klm
hope this helps you out - if you have more questions please ask away only too happy to answer best I can

Yes we will be posting up pics and many more updates on the other varuious mods which will be cam shaft for both N/a and turbo applications
Cold Air Intakes - David from RPW will be releasing some very nice ones in the next couple of weeks they will be both short ram types and the traditional long Cold air from the front bar with a K&N pod filter
My stock Extractors at the moment are a blueish colour because these were the demo ones and at the time we did not see any benifit in getting them ceramic coated - but they can be done in either the black or chrome look ceramic coating
if you are wanting to see pics there is some on this forum in the Accolade - RPW headers with pics check out page 17 I have a couple of pics of the car on there or you could check my www.cardomain.com/ride/2160644/4 there are a couple of pics of the engine bay here and also on my domain site there is a full write up as to the ongoing progress with the car and were to get the parts from
hope this helps out
And Ryan don't be hard on yourself I did the same I signed all the paperwork ordered the colour car before the car even landed here in Aus but I did have the good fortune to speak to some people and I pretty much knew what I was getting and if I did not like it I would change it - which was always my intention from the begining and forget about warranties

Hey Bru, yes it does.
The Mitsubishi US Ralliart is 162 hp (121 kW). Faster than our VR-X @ 115kw.
Cheers!
