I will look tommorow and tell you. If anything at driving rpm's the pump should work esier. Does it bind up at all when you are sitting with the car running at a stop and turn the wheel from left to right?

I hear the normal "whine" of power steering under a heavy load - it doesn't change the RPMS or sound weird.
I did notice while driving down the road at 25~30mph (across campus at school) that I could hear even over my music a slight scraping sound, I determined it to be the sound of that bearing I described earlier reflecting off of the curbs. It was enough for me to hear it over my music which was not loud, but quiet enough to hide most rattle noises of my dash LOL. It made me stop and listen underhood which is where I discovered the slight scraping sound that sounds like a bad pulley bearing back behind the engine.
I'd noticed the sound a long while back but it wasn't loud enough for me to hear while driving down the road.
I only hear it under 35mph higher than that the tire/wind noise overpowers the sound.

I looked for you and there is no apparent movement up and down of the fluid level no bubbles just a ripple from engine vibration.

Ok. I didn't get into the dealership today they said they are booked up with people wanting oil changes and stuff before Thanksgiving. I am going to be dropping the car off next Wednesday to be checked out and anything that is found to be faulty will be fixed/replaced.
At least they seem to be playing nice for now =)

Mine never jerked like that. I do remember the fluid moving a bit when it's idling.
As for looseness, our XC90 had that. Too much play in the wheel and clunks when it was turned back and forth. It was probably a bad rack since they did the tie rod recall and that didn't change it, but it just went back on lease so...

Fluid moving in the reservoir is normal. Don't worry about that. Seeing as you are under warranty, let the dealer handle it.
Depending on the types of roads you are driving on, a car can track pretty hard and it could be normal.

I've noticed some issues with my steering sometimes. Occasionally when making a left turn, the steering seemed as if it wanted to pull the opposite way. Or would be very sluggish.

It's not all the time but sometimes.
The scraping sound is getting louder so I'm fairly certain the pump is probably headed south. I've not had a chance to get to the dealership due to work/school/family obligations. I have the service scheduled for this upcoming Thursday.
