There is that, that is there one saving grace, the Tiburon actually does look cool, I am guessing as Tiburon is spanish for shark that the vents behind the front wheels are like gill slits which is kinda neat. I don't know how it is performance wise though.
My wifes grandfather got a new Hyundai Elantra just after we got the RA and its such a heap. The interior is sooo cheap and plastic it makes ours feel like all leather! Just the driver/seating position feels wierd and it has the most gutless 2.0L, he constantly stalls it, like when he goes to back it down the drive way, he blames it on the engine etc. but in all fairness he was used to driving a big diesel Toyota Landcruiser for the 20 years prior. But they really are junky cars.

Honestly I didnt see much bashing on the lancer at all. You really cant compare an es to a suby...totally different, even a rally arts are hard to compare to a suby. not bashing Lancers...but comparing a N/A with a turbocharged car is ridiculous.

Seriously who cares if someone hates what you drive. I bought MY car because I liked it and My opinion is all that matters.

They tried to get me to buy one of those at the dealership. They went as far as tell me to keep one for a week. I told em i didnt want it but they insisted (you know how dealers are) So i said fine. An yes its a cheaply made car. I ragged the hell outta that thing an put 1000 miles on it in that week an brought it back full of fastfood bags

I just wanted one bad, usually would test drive - originally I was just after an '04 second hand, was 24K aussie with not much on the clock, but then the dealer tells me he can get me the only '06 (first time they had the 2.4mivec in a Lancer here) in the state, the dealers promo display model for 28K and of course the list of improvements for just 4K more was too much to resist - I just wouldn't have the opportunity to test drive and we had to say yes right then before the management killed the idea or someone else snapped it up, it would have been a couple months before another was available and we needed to buy then and I've had a big grin ever since.
I just thought they were better looking than most things on the road in their category, I've always loved a cool Lancer, and people can hate all they want - thats their opinion, especially where I live where its typical Ford vs Holden (a GM spin-off company) - Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore (Chevy Lumina) - its so lame, they don't like Japanese cars but by the time their usually over heavy heaps get moving I'm long gone.

Why do you care? Some of you need to thicken up your skin a bit.

Closed, because we don't need someone going and starting some interforum **** fight.
