hey i hope you find your car! even though it is unique, the thief's are most likely gonna strip it down... my close friend's 4 door acura integra got stolen and was found a few days later stripped down... that really sucks, people who steal cars should all burn in hell

Wow man sorry to hear... I don't know how UK insurance works, but hopefully if they don't find your car you'll get back what you put into it?

Maybe it was flatbeded out? Where do most cars end up when stolen in the UK? Do they just chop them up? Here in SoCal they usually go to Mexico.

No news yet.

If i get it returned... I'll go ahead with my turbo install and AWD conversion asap..

If I dont get it back, or its wrecked... well... I'll be selling the turbo kit to someone, and ill get an Evo IX.

As bad as it sounds... nothing can ultimately protect your vehicle... if people want your stuff they'll take it.

And there is no immobilizer on the lancers. Doesn't matter what type of bypass or starter kill or immobilizer system you have.... they ultimately all just interrupt a wire... if the theif can figure out what wire and where it is... it's very easy to jump that wire and bypass the entire thing.

The best thing I can suggest if you get an aftermarket alarm system is to invest in a battery backup siren.

No matter how fancy of a alarm system you have, theives know to cut power to the siren or the main system to disable them... with a battery backup siren there is a battery built in that charges itself automatically so that even if the wires are cut to the siren it will still be making noise and cannot be shut off unless you have a physical key or the disarming of the alarm itself will shut it off.

In my opinion it's the best anti-theft deterent you can get.

Sorry to hear about your vehicle, hopefully you recover it and all is well.

Let me know if you need any help with an alarm.

Hope this helps,

Nick

That s****, if I put all my time and effort into my car like the way Diavlo did, I'd be f***ing spewing.

Are you covered by insurance for all modifications or just the car?
