Stock plugs are good for 90,000 mile change intervals. They're a bit spendy to replace, but considering their lifespan, it's with the extra price.

our plugs are pricey... might as well start saving up now.. haha
I'd say replace them like otter said, round' 90K miles. I'm yet to take mines out to take a look at them..

No, it's that they're iridium plugs with very few applications; basically they're made for the 4G69. Low production numbers = high cost. About the cheapest you can get them for is $8-$9 per plug.

For spark plugs that's really bad Any NGK dealer can order them for you (Schuck's, Murray's, Autozone, etc) They'll likely charge you full price, though, which is around $12-ish per plug. Online, just search around for NGK dealers and/or the NGK part number (www.ngksparkplugs.com)

I've found the best price at my local NAPA for the NGKs.

try one of the online vendors on here... There are a couple of Mitsu parts dealers that give us pretty good discounts, you might be able to score some for cheap from them. Or at least cheaper than 12$...

There is the instant gratification of being able to walk into a Napa parts store, and walk out with your spark plugs. That's worth a couple buck to me.

Which reminds me, I need to pick up stuff for the 90,000 mile maintenance soon.

...and don't get cheaper plugs (i.e. platinum)....they will work, but the gaps will widen too far after some spirited driving.
